Feb. 2011Angle irons are a cheap and easy way for everybody to put a sturdy construction to many uses.
We took the ubiquious presence of angle iron in the supply industry as an inspiration, to create something infinitely more precious. We turned the angle iron into a design object, accentuating its supreme qualities with the phrase :OH YES COOL GREAT: which, as there are puncturing the object, can also be used like fixation holes.
Oh Yes cool great is evidently a rather formalist artwork, but giving use to many not so formalist functions, like being a coffee table, shelves, reading lamp and so on, up to being just a formalist artwork with no particular use as in the Art Sonje installation.
The colors are very vivid and chosen from the miniature figure series :Relationships do not exist
