The production of a film often implies huge amounts of decor “Today is boring…” uses a film set a dependent work of art. This installation feeds on the ambiance of the “Mind the Gap’”decor, however, retains only few aspects of the actual film.
The maroon stage panels trigger impressions of rust, chocolate, Joseph Beuys, shit, and earth. A cuckoo clock made in China hangs on one of the panels, retaining some sort of minimal functionality suitable for theatre or film. “Today is boring…” is a TV-show in the film “Mind the Gap”.
“Today is boring…” is originally the name of an arty-farty video rental store situated in Shoreditch, London, an area preferably inhabited by yuppies. “Today is Boring...“ is also
rated 65th nicest thing in London.
