History: Built between 1919 and 1921 for oil heiress Aline Barnsdall, it was part of Wright's first commission in Los Angeles. While the main Hollyhock House is a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site, Residence A is designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
