SET-UP PSYCHOTIC MICKEY MOUSE
I: The red acrylic plate platform:
- The platform is heavy. You might need 4 people to move it.
- When lifting the platform, please not touch the acrylic discs in any way. (The disc are fixated very delicately on the metal frame, the discs will come lose.)
- In order to move the acrylic base, you should put it on several transport dollies.
- Ps: two acrylic discs will be restored after the set-up, please protect the sticky surface from dust and dirt. For optimal positioning please refer to the attached images.
Please make sure nobody steps on the platform!
II: The two feet made of fake wood:
-Please clean the wooden feet from dust and dead fungus, inside and out.
-When placing the two fake wood feet on the platform pay attention to not stepping on the platform itself. (The disc are fixated very delicately on the metal frame, the discs will come lose.)
-After installing the wooden feet in their final position install the fireplace inside the wooden feet.
III: The faux fireplaces:
Please unwrap the faux fireplaces carefully. They are brittle and like glass, there might be exchange light bulbs in the package. Please look out for them.
- the faux fireplaces are made of resin and will break easily. Manipulate only with the highest care, they are brittle and fragile as glass.

- Please do not try to clean the fires places, they have a natural patina.

- Inside the fireplace are antique and hand-tinted light bulbs which run on 220 Volts, please be careful not to blow/break them. Do not turn the electricity on for no special reason. There might be exchange bulbs in the transport crates. Do not touch any part inside the fireplace.
Ps: the electric wiring should be hidden from view. The cables run from the fireplaces, through the feet into the red platform.
(Last time we places the sculpture on a floor power socket… . )
IV & V: Mickey Mouse (IV) and Waterfall (V)
After opening the crate, and removing the waterfall (V), look for the screws which hold the bottom of the Mickey Mouse sculpture in place, unscrew the fixation of the Mickey Mouse slowly. Please do not lean on hold onto or touch any part of the Mickey Mouse especially the spiral and the parrot.
If moving only hold on to the bottom and place it on a transport dolly, take special care with the parrot.
-Remove the Mickey Mouse from the crate and clean it from dust and dead fungus. The black paint is quite resistant but the wood is not treated, so beware not to tint the wood while cleaning.
-Lift the Mickey Mouse sculpture only by holding its bottom plate, do not lift any other part of the sculpture and place it in its final position on the wooden feet. See Picture.
-The parrot is a little lose, which is normal, take special care there not to break it off.
-Unwrap and clean the waterfall from dust and dead fungus.
-Look for the fixation points at the top of the waterfall, please look for the fixation points of the water at the Mickey Mouse sculpture.
POSITIONING OF THE WATERFALL (THIS IS THE HARDEST PART)
It takes some time to find the right position of the waterfall, please work slowly and be patient! The waterfall stands very lightly on the platform, it is NOT hanging from Mickey Mouse! Please refer to the attached images.
Please do not exchange any of the screw or install new screws.
Some of the screws might have Torx or Cross heads.
