Sales since 1845, 2012

더 북 소사이어티는 아티스트 듀오 김나영과 그레고리 마스의 "SALES SINCE 1845"를 유치한다. 

일종의 경제적인 개입인 이번 작업은 미술 전문서점의 할인판매 프로젝트이다. 고

객은 "SALES SINCE 1845"를 비롯한 다양하고 부조리한 할인판매 슬로건들, 

일부 서적은 설치된 철재 가림막으로 인해 접근과 구입이 불가능한 상황도 만나게 된다. 

이 프로젝트 기간 동안 더 북 소사이어티의 서적 및  물품은  20~70%에 걸쳐 할인판매된다.

The Book Society is proud to announce "SALES SINCE 1845" by the artist duo Nayoungim & Gregory Maass.

The installation in the book store is an economical intervention, on one side the sales aspect of the book shop is inflated by an overwhelming variety of absurd sales slogans, hence the title "Sales since 1845", on the other side the sales aspect of the store is perverted by the installation of ironwork grates covering some of the shelves, turning the books inaccessible and unsellable. The book society will have a variety of books on sale during the show ranging from 20-70% during the show.
