'One Best Way'라는 제목이 시사하듯이 ‘Yes’ 또는 ‘No’로 전개되는 흐름도는 제한된 상황 안에서 극적인 선택을 해야 하는 상황을 제안한다. 작품에 등장하는 의문의 문장과 이미지들은 연인과 헤어지는 사적이고 감정적인 상황을 묘사하며, 관람객들에게 수수께끼와 같은 의문을 남기는 동시에 최소한의 힌트로 작용한다. 작가는 개항장이 지닌 국가의 생존에 관한 역사성에 주목하며 인천아트플랫폼의 장소적 특성, 인천의 역사와 문화, 사회적 사건과 이슈들을 은유적으로 표현한다. 이들은 다양한 형태의 문화를 차용, 변형해 작업에 등장시키거나 문학 또는 상투적 이야기를 각색해 유머러스한 비틀기의 작업방식을 취한다. 작품 행간에 묻혀있는 패러디와 농담, 은유는 관람객들을 설득하기보다는 다양한 해석의 가능성을 열어두고 있다.

인천아트플랫폼 공공미술 프로젝트 『2016 플랫폼 퍼블릭 아트 프로덕션』은 한국메세나협회 지역특성화매칭펀드 사업과 인천문화재단의 문화예술 기부캠페인 '아트레인(ARTrain)'이 만나 진행되었다. 플랫폼 퍼블릭 아트 프로덕션은 문화예술 발전을 지지하는 뜻있는 인천 기업들의 후원으로 기업 메세나를 통해 문화예술을 함께 만들어 나간다는 특별한 의미를 담고 있다. 인천아트플랫폼 야외 곳곳에 설치된 다양한 예술 작품들은 일상적 생활공간이자 삶이 머무는 공간이 되어 시민들과 함께 호흡하고자 한다.

Incheon Art Platform's Public Art Project 『2016 Platform Public Art Production』 was initiated by the Local Specialization Matching Fund of Korea Mecenat Association along with IFAC's culture & art donation campaign 'ARTrain'. Platform Public Art Production implies a special meaning that creates culture and art through Mecenat from Incheon-based corporations supporting culture and art development. Various artistic works installed outside the Incheon Art Platform long to share breaths with citizens as ordinary living spaces or spaces where life resides in.

Nayoungim & Gregory Maass_One Best Way_Casting, Brass _276×230×11cm_2016Nayoungim & Gregory Maass' work is as the title 'One Best Way' suggests, the flow chart only developing with 'Yes' or 'No' proposes a situation in which dramatic choices must be made. Questionable sentences and images portray private and emotional situations of a broken couple while giving a minimum hint. The artist focuses on historicity of national survival that open port risked. This leads the artist to present Incheon Art Platform's spatial nature, history and culture of Incheon, social events and issues all in metaphorical ways. These works borrow, transform various forms of culture or dramatize cliché for humorous twisting. Parodies, jokes, and metaphors between the lines wide open the possibility of multiple interpretations.
