Associate Professor of Art History, Department of Art and Media Studies,
Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim. Research areas are
20th century art, contemporary art, visual culture, new media, feminism and
gender perspectives on art history.

The paper will focus on globalization as a fact in contemporary culture, what it means to the production of art and how the art nomad comes into the equation.

Winfried
Ellingsen - PhD, Associate Professor of Geography, Department of Geography,
NTNU, Trondheim. Ellingsen got a Ph.D in Social Geography from the University of
Bergen and has been Associate Professor at NTNU since 2010. Thematically he is
experienced in studies of regionalization and political geography,
developmentstudies, culture studies and mobility/migration
studies.

The paper asks these questions: How can we understand place? What is
a home? What has this to do with identity? How do modern Mobilities impact on
